A few days ago, Japanese media outlet Kai-You reported that the new Super Nintendo World originally scheduled to open this past summer at Universal Studios Japan will now open in Spring of 2021.
Like just about everything else, the grand opening was delayed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, with park officials concerned that they would be unable to enforce social distance guidelines and practices as a result of the opening of the new park attraction.
Odds are that Super Nintendo World will open in April 2021, to coincide with the start of Japan’s new fiscal year AND the rumored removal of the COVID-19 induced foreign tourist prohibition.
