The World Video Game Hall of Fame (we mentioned its creation awhile ago) has announced their first six inductees, which were chosen from a field of fifteen possible candidates. And the envelope please…Presenting the first ever World Video Game Hall of Fame Inductees:

• Pong (1972)
• Pac-Man (1980)
• Tetris (1984)
• Super Mario Bros. (1985)
• Doom (1993)
• World of Warcraft (2004)

The WVGHF(I'm not typing that whole thing again) is currently accepting nominations for next years induction until March 2016.
